During the initial visit we will help you decide on the most appropriate orthodontic procedure for your teeth.
At River Lawn Dental & Implant Centre we provide 0% finance to help you pay for your treatment. Bespoke treatment costs can vary so we invite patients to come in for a consultation first. Here we will examine your mouth, and also take xrays. From these results we will be able to give you an accurate figure of cost. In general, our orthodontic treatments start from £1500.
Braces exert constant low pressure which, over time, move teeth into their proper positions. Your teeth will experience movement when the arch wire (the thin metal wire that runs from the bracket on one tooth to the bracket on the adjacent tooth) puts pressure on the brackets and teeth. When braces put pressure on your teeth, the periodontal membrane stretches on one side and is compressed on the other, causing the tooth to loosen slightly and to move in a controlled fashion. The bone then grows in to support the tooth in its new position, and this is called bone remodelling.
Almost immediately—within the first 4 weeks – some tooth movement is very visible, and reassuring for you that you have made the correct decision in having orthodontic treatment with us.
